1. Would this protocol allow my computer to talk to my devices directly by writing a software?

Answer: To send ASCII message from computer/server to device (subscriber or telemetry), you need WCTP protocol. FLEXsuite is required only for:
i) Sending ASCII/BINARY message from telemetry module
(e.g. Advantra Barran/Karli) to server
ii) Application specific message from Server to telemetry module
iii) There are a few other applications, however the two prior ones are the most common

2. What are the most typical reasons someone would need the FLEXsuite protocol?

Answer: The most common reason for using the FLEXsuite protocol is if you are developing a telemetry application.

3. What are the costs/procedures to order the protocol?

Answer: The cost is $25 for AAPC members and $125 for nonmembers.To begin the process, you need to complete the application for FLEXsuite protocol and return the application to AAPC.

4. How long does the process take once an application has been completed?

Answer: The normal process takes approximately 5–7 days once an application has been received.
